| Louis B. Kasunic, D.O., FACOFP Dr. Kasunic is a graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He has practiced medicine in our community since 1987. Dr. Kasunic is the founder and Director of the Colorado Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Center (located within Castle Rock Family Physicians); using cutting edge technology to help patients avoid heart attacks and stroke. He speaks nationally on a variety of medical topics and continues in his role as a clinical professor training medical students, interns, and resident physicians. He lives in Castle Rock with his wife, Wanda, and their three children where he enjoys coaching, reading, shooting and landscaping. He was voted "Best of the Best" Physician in Castle Rock for 2005 by readers of Colorado Community Newspapers. Dr. Kasunic founded Castle Rock Family Physicians in 1992. |
| Chad E. Boekes, M.D. Dr Boekes graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in 1995 and completd his Family Medicine Residency at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. Dr. Boekes enjoys the multiple aspects of Family Medicine and the prevention of disease. He continues to teach medical students in his role as clinical professor with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He joined Castle Rock Family Physicians in 1998. He lives in Larkspur with his wife Margie and their 3 daughters. He is a pilot for single-engine aircraft and enjoys woodworking as a hobby. |

Lawrence S. Wilner, DO Lawrence S. Wilner, D.O. graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Ft. Worth, Texas in 1991. He completed his family medicine residency at Presbyterian/St. Luke in 1994. He is currently board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Wilner immensely enjoys the wide range of patients that Family Medicine affords him each day.He especially enjoys the pediatric population. Dr. Wilner lives in Castle Rock with his wife and two children. His hobbies include raising guide dog puppies, golf, reading, coaching baseball and basketball, and watching movies. |

Karen M. Salyars, MPAS, PA-C Karen M. Salyars, MPAS, PA-C, is a certified Family Medicine Physician Assistant. She earned her Master's degree in Family Medicine from the University of Nebraska while serving on active duty in the U.S. Army. During her 11 years in the military, she was deployed twice to Bosnia, and twice to Iraq. As an Army physician assitant, Karen was responsible for the medical care of thousands of sick and severely injured American and Iraqi personnel. She was awarded three service medals for her role in the support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and sixteen awards and decorations during her active duty service. Karen enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, and is very passionate about patient education and preventive medicine. In her time away from work, she enjoys photography, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband, Will, and daughter Ella. |
